The aim

"As an inclusive principle regarding the development of our university, we promote and design structures that aim to deal with the diversity of our members and affiliates in a positive and supportive way. […] We integrate equality as a cross-sectional task in all decision-making structures and development strategies of our university and include aspects of equality in the accomplishment of our tasks concerning research, education and the transfer of knowledge". (RUB Gender Equality Framework 2020-2024)

In accordance with the framework plan, equality of opportunities is to be promoted through the following points:

  • a gender-equitable faculty culture, communication, and organizational development
  • the support of gender sensitivity in administration and the academic field
  • the recognition of gender equality-focused commitment
  • personnel development in all status groups with the focus on equality of opportunities and sensitivity concerning diversity
  • support of arrangements to increase the proportion of female students
  • Equality-oriented realization of appointment procedures to increase the proportion of women in academic staff and professorships
  • the support of young female scientists by mentoring
  • greater consideration of gender and diversity issues in the field of research and education

Based on gender-specific data and developments, opportunities can be perceived, and tasks for concrete arrangements regarding equalisation can be defined.
